The IRC Internships Program is a way to convey the talents of our members to organizations across the globe, while also enriching the experiences and contributions members make to their friends, their community, and their world. We connect members with pre-selected organizations with an international focus to their work and provide a stipend for the selected interns. It is our hope that this program will also help to establish meaningful connections between the IRC and our partner organizations, as year after year new IRC interns will pursue these summer opportunities with the same programs.
We currently have three organizations participating in the Internships Program, two domestic and one international. Listed below, these organizations engage in international development, education, and service. The primary goal of these internships is for participants to explore new interests or career paths, but along the way one can expect to gain important skills and responsibilities in areas of management, strategy, international negotiation, high-stakes projects, financial planning, and event planning. We have chosen these organizations because of their diverse contributions to international affairs, and for the rich experiences they offer successful applicants.
